Swivelable downholder

No long tool changeovers for inaccessible test positions. The downholder can be swivelled in and out via manual or motorized action, as required. Furthermore, the clamping elements can be changed easily and adapted to suit the customer‘s component.

The wide range of available test benches and prism stages enable hardness testing to be conducted on unusually large or spherical items, and on test objects with an uneven test surface.

The servo-motor significantly increases the rotational speed of the
6-piece tool changer as it swings into position, saving a considerable
amount of time.

The diameter of the swing motor has been enlarged from 17mm to
30mm, improving performance by 2000%. The motor shaft also has an
increased diameter for significantly enhanced stability.

The rotary encoder on the motor enables the control system to detect
when the indenter slips on an uneven test surface, automatically
switching the test sequence off to ensure the best possible protection
for the machine and the indenter.
